We arrive in Venice, collect our luggage at the airport, catch the bus close to our accommodation and walk a couple of blocks to Casa Caburlotta, where we are staying, situated right on the Canal. After flying for about eighteen hours, it feels surreal. Can we believe we are actually here in Venice?
It’s a pleasant walk as we stroll alongside the canals through the markets and we see Venice is an artist’s dream with it’s beautiful old architecture, canals and characteristic bridges everywhere. And we are with artist and water colour maestro, Malcolm Beatty and tour organiser and fellow artist Janette of Paesano Tours. Now we know we are here and reinforcing the reality is the sound of Church bells peeling as I write this … Ah Venice …
Casa Caburlotta
The tranquil back garden at Casa Caburlotta provides a beautiful setting for having lunch, writing, sketching, painting, meditating or whatever …
Brings back lovely memories for me Ingrid. Love Glenda
That’s lovely Glenda – it is a truly lovely place … Everywhere you look there is more beauty
