Millpoint Road Bookshop Cafe

What a fantastic idea – a bookshop cafe – two of my favourite things – drinking coffee and reading books. There are two I know of in Perth, one in South Perth and the other in Swanbourne.

I met up with a Perth writers group at the Millpoint Road Bookshop Cafe in South Perth where members of  KAM (Keen as Mustard) Writer’ Group met to celebrate their 10th anniversary as a group. Members reminisced over their adventures and creations over the past decade, during which time they have been meeting each fortnight to write, read and critique one another’s stories.

Mill point Rd is a delightful location for book lovers and or lovers of fine coffee and good healthy, fresh cuisine.

All day breakfast is available, gourmet sandwiches, salads and more substantial dishes are reasonably priced.

While tables and chairs are conveniently placed throughout the bookshop where people can meet, read, write and or dine, there is also an out door (under cover) garden setting with a great  ambience for dining.

  1. It was lovely to read all about the anniversary of a cafe in a bookstore, and like Jill said, it would be great to have one in Bunbury. There is nothing nicer than a cup of coffee and a good book, or to meet friends and chat books. Thanks for an interesting insight, Ingrid 🙂

  2. I have always thought this was a delightful idea – a cafe in a bookstore – wish we had one in Bunbury! and whilst I have driven past this store many times when we have been visiting family in SPerth, we have never stopped – I will have to now!
