Bonjour Perth

La vie est trop courte pour boire du mauvais vin

This is one of my mottos in French which means: Life is too short to drink bad wine.

I kept this in mind as I sipped French champagne at the inaugural Perth French Festival on Saturday.

Thousands of people visited Langley Park on Saturday as it transformed into a French village where you could sample French delicacies washed down with champagne (but of course).

Music, art and French activities, including fencing as well as an impressive vintage car display were very popular, as were cooking classes and French wine and beer tasting.

The inaugural event, by all accounts, was a very successful day with people looking forward to next year’s event and indeed an annual event, thereafter.

  1. It looks a brilliant festival! Loved your pics too. All things French and champagne too – what could be better! I’m also glad it’s at a relatively cool time of year, so next year, count me in too! Nice to see a pic of Jo (My French Door).
